The five people that actually read this blog may notice my absence in the past couple months. That is because I have gotten knee deep in music. Music has always stood 2nd fiddle to my love of movies. 1. I started following music seriously in 2010, so I've listened to and enjoyed quite a few of your selections. Nice to see mentions for Arcade Fire, Beck, The National, and Fiona Apple, I'm a fan of those artists. My top 10 albums of the 2010s so far would probably include:

    Kaputt by Destroyer
Random Access Memories by Daft Punk
Push the Sky Away by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Lost In The Dream by The War on Drugs
Born to Die (Paradise Edition) by Lana Del Rey
    Lazaretto by Jack White
    Teen Dream by Beach House
    The English Riviera by Metronomy
Have One on Me by Joanna Newsom
We Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves by John Maus

  3. LUKE!!!

I was wondering where you've been. I'm so sorry that I missed this post. I don't know if you saw my recent post about moving, but I've been out of pocket around the blogosphere and been trying to play catchup...and I was wondering where you've been!

Love this post. I used to be so engulfed in music until I became obsessed with film, and slowly my listening to music started to dwindle. I'm always looking for a reason to dig into albums, and this post is perfect for that!
